Proven Success
As a partner of The Network, MENTOR North Dakota has a successful track record of serving adults and children in home- and community-based settings. We are intensely focused on expanding access to services and developing new and more effective ways of delivering supports and services to individuals with a range of disabilities and special needs.
Specialized Services
Many people served by REM North Dakota access specialized services that address their unique needs. In addition to the customized supports that each individual receives, REM specializes in providing supports for individuals with the following diagnoses and challenges.
Autism
REM’s programs for people with developmental disabilities are centered around an individual’s need and many children and adults with autism are also served within those programs.
Prader-Willi Syndrome
REM North Dakota has programs specifically tailored to individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome, an appetite and metabolic disorder that affects both children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Dual Diagnosis
Many people served by REM North Dakota are dual diagnosed with both intellectual disabilities and mental illness. Because each of our programs is tailored to the specific needs of those we serve, REM is able to support people with dual diagnoses. Working with an individual’s mental health professional, REM staff work to support an individual in the areas of psychopharmacology (medication monitoring, side-affect monitoring), therapy, and other supports such as specially tailored day programming.
